Welcome to Issue 7 of r-n-d.net, the first edition for 2008 and the first curated without John Howard at the helm of the country. What a fantastic thing! Herein lies another bumper edition. For reading we have specials on Rush Hour records celebrating 10 years of solid underground output and a special on the soon to be playing in Melbourne (J.A.N 25th), one-and-only Moodymann plus an absolute bumper (4,500 words no-less) scene watch with our intrepid columnist dj p-modern. For ogling we have great exhibitions from two leaders of the new school Emma Langridge and Tim Fleming. For listening we have a approximately 13 hours of insane music! Starting with two great podcasts: a Rush Hour records tenth anniversary podcast and another matrimonial selection from Declan. On the featured mixes page we have a plethora of quality selections (take a deep breath): our heroes Mr. Geoffrey & JD Franzke with their killer "Shanghai Surprise"; an amazing live recording of Mark Pritchard supporting UK dubstep mogul Benga; a trip through the wonderful world of Melbourne’s undisputed Queen of the tables, J’Nett; a old mix from none other than the Moodymann himself; a 45-only mix from Milan, Italy’s funk and soul man himself, Nick Record Kicks; a deep-hop booty turnout from the mind of Melbourne’s Ms Butt; a killer live selection of twisted disco and psychadelia from one Perks aka Brian Damage; and finally NZ-Melbourne d’n’b production and spinning dynamo Motive under his new party-primed bootleggen jacked up moniker Loot, “Sinners are Winners.” Phew.
